Sometimes it's just more economical and convenient to rent what you need to get a job
done. If you require something for a special event or occasional use, let us know and
we'll prepare a quote for you. Here is a brief summary of the fine equipment available
through our rental department.
LEVEL & PRO)
Standard 5 piece kits (bass drum, snare, floor tom, 2 mounted toms) including cymbals (1
Ride, 1 Crash, 2 Hi Hat) throne and hardware. Brand name kits include everything you
need except sticks.
LEVEL & PRO)
Acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars as well as electric guitars and basses by Fender,
Yamaha, Epiphone and Takamine come complete with case, strap, and patch cord. All
you have to do is pick & grin, and maybe plug in.
AMPLIFIERS (ENTRY LEVEL & PRO)
Amps for guitar, bass, and keyboards from such great names as Fender, Roland, Laney,
Marshall and others. Something for the live performance, rehearsal, or jam, when your
own gear isn't available or just isn't up to the task.
Electronic Digital Keyboards from Yamaha and Roland with optional stands, benches
and accessories. Portability is the key here as these instruments will fit into most medium
size cars and come complete with gig bag and shoulder straps.
Microphones for vocals, instruments (including drums), and special applications such as
large diaphragm condenser mics (choirs and other group applications) pressure zone mics
(PZM for flat surface mounting and area sound pickup) and wireless hand-held, lapel and
headset microphone systems. Many famous brands are represented including Shure,
Audio-Technica, and Sennheiser. Direct boxes are also available for amplifying
instruments or other sound sources through a sound system with standard XLR inputs.
Powered (8 channel, 400 to 1,000 watt) and non-powered (4 to 16 channel) mixers are
available to suit a variety of applications from the compact single or duo to the full show
band. Brands include Mackie, Soundcraft, Yamaha, & Wharfedale.
Full range speakers with 10", 12" or 15" woofer and a horn speaker are the backbone of
any compact sound system. Available for use as mains or monitors, these workhorses
from JBL, Yamaha, and Yorkville Sound combined with one of our great powered
mixers or power amp\mixer combinations is guaranteed to get the job done. Add a
powered sub-woofer for the larger venues for greater low-end dynamics. Also available is
a limited quantity of JBL powered full-range speakers and powered bass bins which you
can use to supplement your existing system or as part of a system we put together for
A selection of power amps ranging from 500 to 750 watts per channel (Stereo @8ohm)
are available featuring such popular brands as Yamaha, Crown and QSC.
Choose the power and brand best for you.
We feature professional quality CD players from Denon, some with MP3 playback from
Mono and stereo equalizers will complement whatever equipment you choose for your
gig to let things sound as good as they can, indoors or out.
Par 56 fixtures have been the staple in the world of stage lighting for decades and
continue to be the choice of most bands, theaters and clubs. Both regular and LED
systems are now available for stage lighting and special effects from Chauvet and
American DJ are featured in our rental department. We can “build" a system for you.
Stands for keyboards, microphones, speakers and lights, direct boxes, cables,
multichannel audio snakes and microphone clips and windscreens, power bars, extension
cords and music stands can be rented as part of your system or separately.
We can help you decide what equipment might be best for your situation and the budget
you have available. Just let us know what your event requires and we'll help you figure
out what will get the job done for you.
Unfortunately, we are not able to offer pickup & delivery service at this time but if you
are not able to do this yourself, we would be pleased to recommend a delivery service for
you or work with the service of your choice.
If you require the services of someone to set up and operate your system for you, we
would be pleased to recommend people in the area who are experienced in this field.
Alternatively, we can consult with the sound technician of your choice and provide any
technical information and recommendations they might need.

your convenience. When sending e-mail, please include a phone number where you can
be reached in case we need to clarify something in a hurry. We check e-mails often and
reply as quickly as we can, in most cases within 2 hours of receiving your mail. We're

The best way to make sure the rental items you need are available when you need them is
to reserve in advance. Reservations for items can be made during regular business hours
in person, by phone, by fax, or by e-mail.
Reservations can be canceled at any time without
penalty although we appreciate as much notice as you can provide so items not
required can then be made available for other customers. Changes to reservations can also
be made at any time, subject to availability of items.
Rental of items is always possible at any time without a reservation, subject to
availability of the items during the time period requested.
PICKUP AND RETURN
We are located at 396
QUEEN ST., directly across from Fredericton City Hall, at the corner
of Queen and York Streets.
Our rental department is located at the rear of the store and has access from the York
Street side of the store, via a small walk-through alley. The best place to park if you can
is on the York Street side of our store. When you arrive, come to the Queen Street
entrance of the store to let us know you have arrived and we will arrange to help you with
your rental equipment loading or unloading.
RENTAL PICKUP &
RETURNS - DATES AND TIMES
In order to make our rental system convenient for as many customers as possible, the
following schedule is generally used for pickup and returns.
RENTAL PICKUP - 1:00
P.M. OR LATER .
RENTAL RETURN -
12:00 NOON OR EARLIER.
This schedule was adopted over the years as it seems to work well for the vast majority of
our customers. Most events requiring rentals occur in the latter part of the day or at night,
and most people can return items by noon of the return date. This also allows us the
morning hours to receive rental returns and prepare new rentals for that day. In all cases
we make every effort to accommodate the individual needs of your situation.
Your consideration in
the timely return of rental items makes the system work best for all
our customers by avoiding unwanted waiting.
PAYMENT TIME AND
Payment of rental fees is due upon pickup of equipment. Payment by established
customers may be made using cash, debit card, VISA , MASTERCARD or AMERICAN
EXPRESS. Payment by cheque, payment on return, or charges to account may be done if
prior arrangements have been approved.
AND SECURITY DEPOSITS
To establish a rental account for new customers, we require an official identification
(such as a drivers license) with address as well as phone number and any other contact
information you would like us to have to facilitate communications. (cell, fax, e-mail) We
also require new customers to pay for the rental upon pickup using a valid credit card and
those not residing in Fredericton will be required to provide a security deposit using that
credit card. Security deposits will be refunded upon the return of all rented items, on time
and in proper condition.
The responsibility for rental equipment is assumed by the person picking up and signing
for the rental equipment . Identification containing your address may be required prior to
receiving rental items. Customers should pickup rental equipment personally unless prior
alternate arrangements have been made.
Rental equipment is not insured by us and rental customers assume full responsibility for
the cost to repair items damaged or replace items not returned. Customers wishing to
insure rental equipment while in their possession should arrange to do so through the
insurer of their choice.
